Without further ado,
here is my Manned Spaceflight Timeline (the parts that I've gotten
completed anyway). This timeline is the centerpiece of my original
contribution to this "armchair history" of spaceflight.

Last update: September 2, 2002
The sections on the classic space programs of the '60's (Mercury, Gemini,
Apollo, Vostok, Voskhod, and Soyuz) as well as the '70's programs (Skylab,
the Apollo/Soyuz Test Project, Salyut, and Almaz) are all complete. I've
also started to dig into the programs of the '80's and '90's. The NASA Space
Shuttle missions up to the Challenger explosion in 1986 are already documented
as well as the Buran Space Shuttle. Soon, Phase 1 of the Mir Space Station
program will be included along with the remainder of the NASA Shuttle missions
and Mir - Phase 2. Eventually, I will work all the way up to the International
Space Station and try to keep that section current as construction continues.
Until then, please feel free to peruse what's available now.
Also, please feel free to download or print a copy of the timeline for yourself.
You may find it to be a handy reference guide in helping to unsnarl some of
the knottier parts of spaceflight history (like the Russian space station
programs of the '70's and '80's). And don't forget to stop by every once in
a while for fresh updates.
